Our very own Larina McClain is at it again! We are excited to announce that she was nominated to to Board of Directors for the Colorado Luxury Home Tour. Newly launched in Colorado, Larina was elected as the first Tour Director for the first year in business.

If only there was a way for the top real estate agents in Denver to get together and view the best of the best luxury homes on the market….oh wait, there is! Introducing the newly formed Colorado Luxury Home Tour (LHTcolorado)!

In 1982, Arizona started their Luxury Home Tour and it was a huge success, so the team of nine of Denver’s top luxury Realtors have banned together to recreate the magic for Colorado. The tour has already become a HUGE success with over 200 members and over 45 homes toured, and a large waitlist! This dedicated board of directors includes:

The Fine + Fresh Spring Cleaning Checklist (2019)

More daylight, a few final bluebird ski days, windows rolled down with the heat on…it’s Spring in Denver! We’re all looking forward to some warmer temps and all the fresh air we can get, but before we get to enjoy it too much, we need to check Spring cleaning off our to-do lists. We know, it sounds awful, but with this checklist you might want to spring clean more than once a year! Also, while you’re at it, treat yourself with some new throw pillows, leafy plants or wall art to celebrate National Decor Month.

How to Incorporate Green Into Your Home – Not Just for St. Patty’s Day

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, we are digging through our closets for something green to wear to avoid those people who will actually pinch if you don’t comply. Suddenly we realize either, “Wow, I forgot how much I like green!” or “Wow, green is not my color.” Whichever side of the fence you lean on, adding more green into your home can actually boost your energy! Don’t forget, just because green might not look great on you, doesn’t mean you can’t decorate with it.

Here are a few ways to incorporate green into your home that don’t scream, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Throw PillowsThrow pillows are our guilty pleasure. Every time we walk into Home Goods, World Market or Target they seem cuter and cuter each time, and for good reason. Throw pillows are a cheap, not so permanent way to add color to your home. (Pillow from TJ Maxx)

 

Wallpaper

I know some of you are thinking, “Wallpaper is so 80s,” but think again. Wallpaper is making a huge comeback, but looks a lot better than we remember. You can use wallpaper to create an accent wall, or use it in small places to make a statement; it can even be customized (thank you, etsy). PlantsPlants make everything better. There is more oxygen in your home, they give you someone to talk to (seriously, it’s been proven that talking to your plants helps them grow) and they’re really pretty! Get some plants and feel nature come inside your home. (Terrarium from TJ Maxx)

 

Accent Furniture

Velvet furniture is making a massive statement in the design world and there isn’t one color that can outperform emerald green in velvet. There is so much class in a deep green and adding an accent chair to your bedroom or living space takes your design level up a notch or two. (Sofa from World Market)

 

Paint

Before you think we are telling you to paint your whole house green, stop right there. Try painting your home office or den a shade of green and be sure to add in other colors and textures to get that timeless feel. You won’t regret it! 

 

Decor

From lamps to plates, you can implement green into any room of your home. The key for using such a bold color is to not overdo it. Have a theme, stick with it and have fun pretending to be Joanna Gaines.
